China glaze- All aboard collection part 2

Stop that train

Stop the train is a metallic burnt orange polish with a gold shimmer running through it. The first coat applied quiet patchy and because the polish is a metallic polish you could slightly see the brush stokes, the second coat covered all the patchiness of the first coat. The consistency of this polish is slightly on the thinner side, I would just recommend you take your time when applying this polish.

Choo- Choo choose you

Choo choo choose you is a beautiful unique polish this polish is a mid toned plum polish that has a gold and green duo chrome, in different lighting this polish looks red, brown, olive green and gold its a beautiful polish. The formulation isn't the greatest for this polish the first coat I applied was sheer and patchy and I did have to apply three coats to make the polish fully opaque, also the consistency for this polish is on the thin side but it wasn't to hard to apply the polish wasn't running off the brush to much.

Conduct yourself

Conduct yourself is a deep oxblood red polish with a ruby shimmer running through it, the polish sometimes looks purple depending on the light. Unfortunately the shimmer doesn't come across on the nails so well which is a shame. The first coat applied slightly patchy but the polish is fully opaque in two coats, again like the other polishes the consistency is on the thin side but its not to hard to apply.

Mind the gap

Mind the gap is a khaki/olive green polish with a lime green shimmer running through it. The coverage is very sheer I had to apply three generous coats to make the polish fully opaque, the consistency of the polish is good its not to thick or thin. I do think this polish will be a hit or miss the colour of this polish might not suit everyone's skin tone but the colour is lovely.

Loco-motive

Loco-motive is a clear based polish packed with black and orange glitter. I would suggest this polish would be used as a topper, I applied four coats and I felt the polish wasn't fully opaque and the polish was getting slightly thick on the nail. I think this polish would look good under a purple or green this polish would be a perfect Halloween polish.

Lug your designer baggage

Lug your designer baggage is a medium chocolate brown polish with gold flakes running through it. The flakes in this polish aren't to big which is good they apply smoothly and you don't have to dig for them to apply them on the nail. The coverage is decent but not fully opaque on the first coat so I applied two also the polish doesn't apply streaky or patchy.

Nice caboose

Nice caboose is a lovely colour the polish is a medium purple with some red and pink mixed in, the polish has a pink shimmer and silver flakes running through it. The flakes don't apply to the nail very well I think I got two flakes out of a full manicure. I applied 2 coats and the polish was fully opaque and the consistency of the polish is nice it applied smoothly.

I purchased the whole collection from amazon

China glaze - All aboard collection part 1

What are you A-freight of?

What are you a-freight of is a chocolaty brown with a hint of red. The coverage for this polish is good you can get away with one coat if you do a thick enough coat but I preferred to apply two coats of polish. The consistency of this polish is fine its not thin or thick.

All aboard

All aboard is a medium plum polish, this polish applied slightly patchy on the first coat but the second coat covered everything. The consistency of the polish is good, the polish wasn't so thick that it was harder to apply and it wasn't so thin that it was running of the brush.

Well trained

Well trained is a forest green polish, the polish did apply slightly patchy on some of my nails but the second coat made the polish fully opaque. The consistency is good nothing to complain about.

Don't get derailed

Don't get derailed is a khaki green polish that is opaque in one coat and the consistency was good, there is not much to say about this polish its just a khaki polish with a good formulation.

One track mind

One track mind is a navy blue polish, this polish could be a one coater but the polish was slightly patchy on some nails so I painted two coats. The consistency again is good the polish applies smoothly.

The polishes I loved wearing this summer

Summer is coming to a end and for some people you might be sad but if your like me you'll be happy because the cozy months are coming, in Scotland we don't get much summer maybe a day or two so I love when autumn/winter comes around so I can wrap up warm in jumpers and chill at home all cozy with a warm drink. I am deviating from the point of this post I'm sorry this post is about all the lovely polishes I loved wearing this summer.

Danglefootpolish- Everlasting gobstopper

I loved wearing this polish the creamy white base with the pop of color from the different particles that are in this polish. Sometimes I find a pure white polish to harsh depending on how bright the white is but this polish is a milky white which to me is a easier white to wear and I love the pops of different colours.

Color club – Foxy mama

I haven't done my review for this polish yet but it will be coming next week so keep your eyes peeled. I feel like the picture kind of speaks for itself and why I loved this polish this summer.

China glaze – Rain dance the night away

I am a sucker for a blue polish and especially one with a good formula, this polish has a lovely formula and its a lovely colour. I have wrote a review for this polish so I will link it here if you would like to know more about this polish

Essie – Naughty nautical

I was never into green polish till this summer and this polish is one of my favorites. This polish is a lovely deep green with silver glitter that runs through the polish. I have wrote a review for this polish so I will link the post here if you would like to know more about this polish, feel free to check out the link http://kyliedoesnailpolish.blogspot.co.uk/2015/05/may-favourites.html

Summer is coming to a end but it doesn't mean you have to stop wearing these polishes, wear whatever colour makes you happy polish is supposed to be fun if you don't like a polish/colour just remove it and try another one.

China glaze - Desert escape collection

 Don't desert me
Don't desert me is a berry fuchsia simmer polish, the colour of this polish is hard to explain because in certain lights this polish looks more blue/pink and in other lights it looks more purple. The first coat of this polish went on really nicely, it was almost fully opaque in one coat, you do slightly see the brush strokes but you can only see them if you are deliberately looking closely at your nails. I did like this polish it only needed two coats, it wasn't a bad formulation the only thing I think is that the colour in my opinion is more of a autumn/fall colour, but you could definitely wear this polish all year round.

Meet me in the mirage
Meet me in the mirage is a very unique copper shimmer polish with hints of salmon and peach in certain lights. This colour of polish is not one I would normally gravitate to when I'm painting my nails but I was pleasantly surprised . I really liked the colour of this polish it's not like anything I have in my collection. The polish was almost fully opaque in one coat, you could slightly see brush strokes but nothing major. The consistency of the polish is good its not to thick or thin. I really liked this polish the colour is nice and the formula is good .

Rain dance the night away
Rain dance the night away is the perfect balance of a spearmint green and cyan blue. This polish has a lovely consistency it's not to thick or thin, it applies lovely and it was fully opaque in one coat. I really like this polish the colour is a perfect summer colour and the formulation is good, this colour is not unique if you look at other spring/summer nail polish collections you will probably find a colour similar to this one but the formulation of this polish was good it didn't apply streaky and you could apply one coat and get away with it, it also dried quite quickly.

Don't mesa with my heart
Don't mesa with my heart is a cerise pink polish, I have to be honest with you I am not the biggest fan of this polish the consistency if this polish is on the thinner side and it applied streaky and patchy. I had to paint three coats of polish and I still could see some of my nail line. The colour itself is lovely but it's not anything special I'm sure you could find a colour like this from many different brands, unfortunately this isn't the best polish in the collection which is a shame because the rest of the collection is really good.

The heat is on
The heat is on is a bright red polish with a jelly formula. The coverage on the first coat was good it applied non streaky, I painted two coats of polish and could see some of my nail line but nothing major, a third coat might help or applying a white base would also help. The consistency of the polish was good like the majority of the polishes in this collection the consistency was not to thick or thin and the polishes dried quite fast. I am personally not the biggest fan of red nail polish but this is a nice bright red for summer and its very wearable I think it would suit most skin tones.

What's she dune
What's she dune is a light tan polish with a hint of grey. I am not the biggest neutrals fan I love my bright colours but there is something about this colour I like and I can't put my finger on it. This polish applied lovely it almost applied in one coat, the consistency was also good like most of the polishes in the collection it wasn't to thick or thin. The brush on this specific bottle was cut differently than all the other polishes in the collection it was cut in the shape of a doe foot applicator, the shape didn't hinder the application but I don't know if it's supposed to be cut like that or if its supposed to be flatter like the other polish brushes in the collection.

China glaze - Son of a peach

China glazes Son of a peach is a bright peachy orange polish. I am so disappointed with this polish, I like china glaze as a brand and I loved the look of this colour. The first coat was streaky and you need to work fast with this polish or else you will drag the polish you have painted. I painted on three coats and it was still patchy as you will see in the pictures. The polish itself dries matte which I know some other bright/neon polishes that dry matte so I was fine with the fact it dried matte. The formula was just rubbish which sucks because the colour of this polish looked like it would be so nice .

you can buy china glaze from http://www.nailpolishdirect.co.uk/ or Amazon .

My favourite neutrals

Today I am starting a new series, every week or two I am going to upload a post about my favourite in a certain colour family and today is of course is going to be neutrals . I am not the biggest fan of neutrals but I do wear them occasionally and when I fancy wearing a neutral polish I gravitate towards these five.

Nails inc – Lowndes square
Lowndes square is a dusky purple with grey undertones. This polish has to be in my top ten favourite polishes ever. The polish is lovely its non streaky easy to paint, the formula itself not to thick or thin its so creamy and colour is just perfect. I love this polish so much I have a backup just in case, its a perfect neutral for any season.

China glaze – Something sweet
Something sweet is a lovely baby pink, the formula isn't the best for this polish, its slightly on the thicker side and it does go on streaky, you will need 3-4 coats with this polish which is a downside but its a nice colour.

Nails inc – Basil Street

Basil street is a caramel fudge colour with a very slight peach undertone. The formula is a bit on the thinner side but its not runny, its not streaky and only takes two coats to look perfect. I used to be addicted to this colour I wore it to death, it is always a perfect colour to go back to when I don't know what to wear and is a nice neutral for any occasion.

Avon – Perfectly flesh

Perfectly fresh is a dusky pink nude. The formula for this polish is on the thinner side but easy to work with. I am in love with the brush on this polish because it is thicker than most brushes which makes it easier to paint the polish. This polish takes about 2-3 coats to look perfect.

Nails inc – Sloane mews
Sloan mews is a difficult to describe it is a sheer pink with a iridescence, it is so pretty, it is a colour that makes it tips of your nails whiter. It has a slight shimmer running through it but its not in your face. The formula was very thick I think it might be down to the fact I have had it for year but it wasn't streaky and was easy to paint despite the thickness.

These are just some of the colours I love like I said this is the start of a favourite colours series so I hope you enjoy reading .

My top summer nail colours

The colour of polish I wear on my nails changes throughout the year, in winter I wear black, grey and navy and in the summer I like to wear brighter coloured polishes, these are the five polish colours I gravitate towards in the summer.

Pink

A selection of pink polishes
Yes pink is a all year round nail colour for some people but for me I don't wear it that much except the summer time. A perfect pastel creamy pink is a perfect colour for a wedding, and if your scared of some of the brighter colours try a raspberry pink.

Orange
A selection of orange polishes
Don't be scared of colour on the nails, yes orange sounds scary but maybe try with a creamier orange that's not so neon.

A selection of green polishes
Green
Again don't be scared of colour you don't have to go full on with a Grinch green polish, there is some amazing mint pastel green polishes out there.

Purple
A selection of purple polishes
Purple might me another popular colour that a lot of people wear in the summer, to be honest with you I wear it all year round.

Blue

A selection of blue polishes
Blue sounds a very 80's colour but don't worry I thought that at first but now blue polish is one of my favorite colours to wear.

Don't be scared of colour nail polish is temporary, if you are not sure about it remove it , so have fun with some colour this summer.
