Friday Favorites – Empties Part 1

Kandy colors Spiced apple cuticle oil

I love the smell of this cuticle oil it smells of Christmas its slightly fruity with a hint of spice. I felt like this oil was on the thicker side which I quite liked because you don't need a lot of product and its super conditioning, the oil sinks in nicely there is no greasy film left around your cuticles. I loved that this products applicator was it a pipette it was super easy to use I just would of liked the bottle to be bigger.

Paint the rainbow cuticle oil

This cuticle oil is ok I did feel it was slightly greasy and it does take a little while to sink in. I wasn't to sure about the roller ball applicator to start with but I actually liked it, I found the product applied easy with the roller ball applicator. This cuticle oil had no scent which is ok but I prefer a scented oil.

O.P.I Avojuice Spiced persimmon hand and body lotion

I liked this hand cream it is a lighter lotion rather than a creamy rich hand cream which I like. This hand lotion sinks in fast and leaves your hands feeling smooth and moisturized, the smell is lovely it smells like sweet orange with a hint of spices. This is a lovely hand lotion it would be perfect in a handbag because it sinks in fast.

Loccitane Shea butter hand cream

This is a thick and creamy hand cream this product is super moisturizing. I would say be careful when applying this product because if you over apply it your hands will feel super greasy for quite some time. I do like this hand cream it is super moisturizing but it doesn't sink in fast so I would say this hand cream isn't the best for your handbag I would apply this before I go to bed, the scent is just a lovely clean scent but its not in your face.

Nails inc Albert bridge topcoat

This is an ok topcoat nothing special its not particularly glossy but it does dry fast. This topcoat is a nightmare when your near the end of the product, the topcoat goes super thick I did add thinner and it worked for one manicure, also when you near the end of the product it starts to apply uneven and stringy which is not what you want from your topcoat.

Perfect formula Pink gel coat

This product isn't empty yet but its so thick now, I tear my hair out while applying this. The application is so uneven and stringy I have tried thinner and it doesn't thin the product at all. This product annoys me because the finish of this product is nice it makes your nails look better it makes the whites whiter it makes your nails look perfect. Before this product got super thick this product helped my nails grow, nothing major but it did help.

Thrifty Thursday - Seche Aristocrat

This polish slightly disappointed me, in the bottle this polish looks like a lovely deep mauve with a shimmer but on the nail the polish looks like a flat purple/brown and no shimmer. The consistency and coverage is good, the polish is fully opaque in one coat no patchiness the consistency isn't to thick or thin, its just the colour and finish really is not what it looks like in the bottle.

I purchased this polish from TK Maxx

Treatment Tuesday- Burts bees Lemon butter cuticle cream

Sorry for the naked yellow nails
This is the perfect cuticle cream/butter for the colder months it is creamy thick and super moisturizing. The product is slightly greasy but you will get that with most cuticle butters and it does take slightly longer to sink into your cuticles. The smell of this product is lovely as soon as you open the tin you can smell super zesty lemon, I would say I'm not the biggest fan of the tin its slightly harder to open and when you have less product in the tin the product is harder to come out because you get half the product under your nails so I would suggest just to scrape some product out with a cuticle pusher. I feel this product will last the whole winter season plus some you don't need much product at all to see results, its a lovely cuticle butter that melts nicely as you rub it into your cuticles and its super hydrating.

Fresh Friday- KB Shimmer Chai tea Cuticle oil

Sorry for the yellow naked nails
This is a lovely cuticle oil it is non greasy and sinks in fast and is conditioning/moisturizing. I picked the chai tea scent because I haven't seen any cuticle products with the smell and because I'm addicted to chai tea lattes. The smell for me wasn't chai to me it smelt more like a really sweet Dr pepper or raisins with a slight hint of spice, I would of preferred full on cinnamon but that is just personal preference. I like the brush applicator it makes the oil super easy to apply no need for digging your nails into a tub and then getting product under your nails which is super annoying, I don't like that there is only 2ml of product in the pen I feel like it wont last very long especially when I apply cuticle oil 3-5 times a day.

I purchased this cuticle oil from Harlow&co - http://www.harlowandco.org/products/cuticle-oil

Thrifty Thursday- Revlon parfumerie Wild violets

The parfumerie range from Revlon are polishes that let off a perfumed smell correlating to the polishes name and colour when the polish are dry so please don't go sniffing straight from the bottle because it will just smell like nail polish. Wild violets is a deep aubergine polish with a very fine red glitter this polish will almost look black when painted on the nails, and also when applied the glitter isn't so apparent. This polish has good coverage on the first coat its just ever so slightly patchy so I applied two coats for full opacity the consistency was good it isn't to thick or thin, this polish smells of flowers when it is dry on the nail.

I purchased this polish from poundland

Throwback Tuesday- Bonita Starry night

I am head over heels in love totally obsessed with this polish, this polish is a beautiful deep teal with a hint of emerald with a very fine holo glitter. The first coat had great coverage but it will take two coats for full opacity and the consistency was good. I am really sad that the only place I have found Bonita polishes are poundland because I will probably never find another bottle of this polish, because poundland are just a pix a mix of brands its the only place I have found sinful colors in the UK as well so if anyone knows where I can buy another bottle of this polish please let me know in the comments. This polish is just so pretty and I can see me wearing it a lot, if you can get your hands on a bottle I would defiantly recommend you get it.

Friday Favorite- Nail Stamping

My post today is about stamping, now I'm not a pro at stamping I just enjoy nail stamping. The reasons I love nail stamping are because stamping adds a little something extra to an ordinary manicure, you could have a plain white cream polish and if you stamp a black flower design on your nails it just perks up your nails. Another reason why I love stamping is the variety of the stamping plates, you can get simple flower deigns to sushi, animals, cars to intricate designs if you can think of it there probably is a stamping plate out there with it on. My favorite thing is that stamping plates can be very inexpensive I have bought a lot of mine from the bornpretty store http://www.bornprettystore.com/ but I have also bought ones from amazon, rainbow connection, ebay and I have recently found out that nailpolishdirect stock some stamping essentials. When you start nail stamping it will be a hit or a miss but it just takes a while to get a hang of the technique I'm not perfect yet but nail art is all about having fun. If you are thinking about getting into stamping I would suggest you buy a uber mat by uberchic I purchased mine from https://www.she-sells-seashells.co.uk/shop/uber-mat-by-uberchic-beauty/ they are so useful to test stamping on or colour combos or any kind of nail art they are acetone resistant so its super easy to clean up the mat and I am so thankful I bought one, even for painting your nails normally if you knock your polish bottle over it will just spill on the easy clean mat. Just finding out what kind of stamper and scraper and finding the right polish to use is probably the hardest part of stamping but its like most things its just trial and error.

Thrifty Thursday- Glam polish Ka-Boom!

This is a lovely polish, this polish is fully opaque in one coat its a lovely medium purple with tons of holographic micro glitter, also I feel it has some micro red glitter in because if you look closely there is red running though the polish but the red isn't overly obvious. There is a slight downside to this polish it is very thin so I would suggest taking your time while applying because the polish does drip down the brush, I would also suggest applying a second coat even though the polish is opaque in one coat just because it deepens the colour also apply a top coat just to really make the polish pop.

I purchased this polish from rainbow connection in the sale and remember to use the code bigsale for an extra 10% off any sale items-http://rainbow-connection.co.uk/collections/sale/products/ka-boom

Treatment Tuesday - Soaps for little suds Bubble pebble

I received this bubble pebble in a nail box from paint the rainbow, I thought this product would be a lot softer to break than it was its quite hard I thought it would just crumble to pieces. I used half the pebble for one use which means I will get two uses out of one pebble. I put quite warm water in a medium sized bowl and put the bubble pebble in the water, the product does foam slightly on top of the water. The water did turn slightly yellow its not the prettiest water I have seen but its not all about the aesthetics. The smell is slightly fruity which is nice, I think this product can be used in the bath as well I just used it as a hand soak. I soaked my hands for about 10-15 minutes, after taking my hands out of the water my hands felt soft and the fruity smell lingered on my hands for quite a while afterwards I think this product would be great to use for preparing your hands for a manicure.

I don't think soaps for little suds have a main website but you can check out their facebook page - https://www.facebook.com/Soaps-For-Little-Suds-481467335249949/?fref=ts
